Congressman Abet Garcia graced last Thursday the blessing of the first Kadiwa Store in Judy’s Park, Limay to cater to local residents who want to avail of fresh vegetables, pork, fish and other farm products at lower prices.
Congressman Abet said the Kadiwa Store which is one of the pet projects of then Limay Mayor Nelson C. David will certainly help local farmers and fishermen who can readily dispose their produce. “Natutuwa na si Mayor Nelson sapagkat naisatuparan ang matagal na niyang inaasam na proyekto,” said the Bataan Second District solon.
Garcia recalled that this Kadiwa Store was the result of a visit to Bataan of Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel where he extended the grant of a check worth P5 million. “Ito na yung dinala sa atin ni DA Sec. Laurel nung bumisita siya sa atin last year,” he said.
Limay Mayor Richie Jason David thanked Cong. Abet for his effort in extending support to various projects in his town. “Napakalaking bagay po nitong Kadiwa Store para sa ating mga kababayan,” the mayor said. During its opening day, the store sold items worth P50,000.
The members of Sangguniang Bayan of Limay led by Vice Mayor Sarah David are grateful for having a Kadiwa Store in their municipality.
