The Provincial Tourism Office, headed by Ms. Danica Lolita Tigas, continues to bring pride to the province after bringing home three (3) recognitions from the Tourism Recognition for Enterprises and Stakeholders (TRES) Awards 2024 held on February 26, 2025 in Clark Freeport Zone.
The multi-awarded Bahay Wika, an initiative that preserves of the indigenous language and promotes the culture of the indigenous Ayta Magbukun in Abucay, placed first runner-up as ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ข๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐๐น๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ง๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐บ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ. Last year, said initiative was among the Top Ten Outstanding Local Governance in the country recognized by Galing Pook and won the Best Institutionalized Culture and Arts Program from the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines Pearl Awards. Aside from this, Bataan was also adjudged ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฅ๐๐ป๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ-๐จ๐ฝ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ง๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐บ ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ, recognizing its efforts in efficiently collecting and organizing tourism data to support better planning and development.
Meanwhile, Mr. June Palmera Vasquez was named ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฅ๐๐ป๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ-๐จ๐ฝ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ: ๐ง๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ, recognizing his dedication to sharing Bataanโs history and making every visitorโs experience more enriching and memorable. The TRES Awards is an annual event that honors outstanding contributions from public and private institutions that help shape Central Luzonโs tourism industry.
