Bataan Board Member Tony Roman extended his support to BECKI 7th Weekly Chess Tournament by providing the top prize for the event, held on March 2 at the Galleria Victoria Mall in Balanga City.

The tournament, organized by the Bataan Elite Chess Knight Incorporated (BECKI), followed a 7-round Swiss System format with a time control of 15 minutes plus 5 seconds increment per player.

A total of 30 top Bataan wood pushers participated in the tournament, where Arena FIDE Master Perdoff Macabulos emerged as the Champion. Other winners include 2nd Place, 3rd Place, and special category prizes.

BECKI Vice President Erickson Marimla expressed gratitude to Board Member Roman for his support to the local chess community.

The weekly chess tournament aims to promote chess among Bataan youth and improve the skills of local players.
